SlingPlayer Mobile is now Available for BlackBerry. Sling Media has officially introduced its SlingPlayer Mobile application for Blackberry smartphones. After SlingPlayer Mobile applications is available for Symbian devices : Symbian S60, Windows Mobile and Palm OS client, SlingMedia finally announced its application for RIM’s platform.
Now a Slingbox owner will be able to use the application on any compatible Blackberry handset to view and control their TV wirelessly using the BlackBerry's internet connection. With SlingPlayer most smartphone owners can enjoy their TV from anywhere. SlingPlayer Mobile is able to use either a cellular data or WiFi connection, though obviously a higher-speed network provides a better video playback experience.
BlackBerry especially with the WiFi enabled device will be able to seamlessly stream their TV back to their beloved device while additionally increasing their addiction along the way. The software comes with a 30-day trial period, after which users will need to purchase the full version for $29.99. The SlingPlayer Mobile for Blackberry software will be demonstrated in Las Vegas at the Consumer Electronics Show, and will be available to consumers later this year.
