Nokia announces 6600 Fold, 6600 Slide, 3600 Slide

Nokia announced three S40 handsets. They are Nokia 6600 Fold, 6600 Slide, and 3600 Slide. The devices range in price from 175 EUR to 275 EUR before taxes and subsidies and are expected to start shipping during the third quarter of 2008. Here are more details of the devices:

> Nokia 6600 Fold
This handset is a quadband GSM/EDGE and UMTS (850 and 2100 MHz band) device. With one touch of a button, the elegant Nokia 6600 fold smoothly opens to reveal a stunningly bright 2.13'' OLED screen displaying up to 16 million colors. It will have 240 x 320 resolution, Bluetooth 2.0, FM radio, 2 megapixel camera, VGA video recording at 15 fps, QVGA at 30 fps.

The device runs Series 40 like all the other handsets and this is the most expensive of the three handsets announced. Nokia 6600 Fold will be available for 275 EUR in Q3 2008.

This mobile phone is a quadband GSM/EDGE and dual band WCDMA in the 850 and 2100 MHz frequencies. The handset has 3.2 megapixel camera with autofocus, VGA (640 x 480) video recording at 15 fps, QVGA (320 x 240) at 30 fps, Bluetooth 2.0 and microUSB that handles the charging, data transfer and wired headset.

Nokia 6600 Slide measures at 110 grams, thin at 14 mm, 90 mm long and 45 mm wide, it features a 2.2 inch 240 x 320 display, 16 million colors, FM Radio, 1000 mAh battery.

This cellphone is a quadband GSM/EDGE handset which has a 3.2 megapixel camera, with autofocus, and the ability to record VGA resolution video. Nokia 3600 Slide measures pretty slim at 14.5 mm, weighs 97.3 grams, 97.8 mm tall and 47.2 mm wide.

Nokia 3600 Slide features a 2 inch screen, 240 x 320 resolution with 16 million colors, TV out which is capped to 320 x 240 resolution at 15 frames per second, Bluetooth 2.0, Opera Mini (preinstalled), FM radio, 860 mAh battery and microSDHC compatible up to 4 GB.

Nokia 3600 Slide will cost 175 EUR when it comes out in the third quarter of this year.
