How to Enable Palm Treo 800w EVDO Rev.A to increase upload speeds. The folks behind WMExperts wrote a nice trick for Sprint Palm Treo 800w users to have a better upload data stream.
0. Go to your Sprint Palm Treo 800w 'Dial Pad'
1. Type ##EVDO# (it's the same as ##3836#)
2. You'll see a 'hidden' command menu and "Rev A" unchecked
3. CHECK that 'Enable Rev A?' box!
4. Set Broadband Setting to 'Automatic'
Without the "Rev A" box checked, upload speeds cap at around 120kbps. When enabled, you easily and consistently hit up in the mid 300kbps range. Enjoy that double faster speed! Note: Use at your own risk.
