The overall dimensions are smaller than with the flagship Sidekick LX (at 2.6" instead of 3.0"), but the buttons are the same as before. As you may already know this device can be personalized with Sidekick Shell Customizer and even custom ones can be created and ordered from sidekickshells.com for $15. I got this phone around in November and after three months it started to mess up. My contacts get deleted and so does my text messages/picture messages, the screen freezes every now and then, and the screen is all black when I shut it and sometimes when I open it, its black. Other than all that it actually is a very cool phone. Just make sure you take really good care of it and make a phonebook with all your contacts. Trust me it's worth the time.
OMG I really want this fone 4 my b-day like my parents were going to get it 4 me 4 x-mas but then they didn't and instead of it they got me an iPod which is cool but I rather have a fone people that have this fone are soo sooo lucky

I strongly prefer my sidekick LX, but it seems they aren't being made anymore or something like that. It's starting to fall apart, and I'm getting the parts to fix it. If I can't then getting the 08 is my last resort, its a good phone, but I personally don't think its as good as the LX.
I totally know what your talking about! Ive had mine since October and it has "reset" by itself 3 times! For no reason, it just turns off and when it turns back on your contacts, messages, and everything in the organizer is erased. Like you said, it is a very good phone otherwise. I actually LOVE it! I guess no phone is perfect though...
