Apple iPhone for Russia in 2009? According to market research, there are currently around 470,000 unlocked iPhones in use in Russia, A Russia's news site, Vedomosti, has reported that Russia will begin selling iPhones legally next year.

This report is coming from Yevgeny Butman, the Moscow director of Apple IMC, the Apple vendor for Russia. No word on official carrier, but any operator will be welcome.
