GN Netcom, the world leader in innovative headset and speakerphone solutions, today announced the Jabra Mobile Developer Program designed for developers who are currently producing voice-enabled and other audible applications. The new Mobile Developer Program aims to attract leading creative developers and provide them with cutting-edge Jabra technology and resources needed to create innovative, mobile hands-free, voice-enabled applications. The program will be kicked off at the Jabra Mobile Developer Breakfast, and The Jabra Mobile Experience portal (http://www.jabra.com/apps/) will be launched for the first time this week at CTIA Wireless 2010.
The Mobile Developer Program, launching with over 15 members and growing daily, is being offered free of charge to qualified applicants. To be eligible for membership, a company must be an active developer with at least one qualifying commercially available mobile application. Additionally, qualifying applications must be Bluetooth-enabled and have audible and voice-enabled components, or have a desire to learn how to develop this technology into their applications.
For the consumer, the new Jabra Mobile Experience portal directs users to the best voice-enabled speech-to-text mobile, music and entertainment applications for their headset. This portal provides users with wide variety to choose from when it comes to finding their ideal applications for work and play. The expanding list of premier mobile apps currently available for download includes: Vlingo, Voice on the Go, HulloMail, slydial Voice Messaging, MotionApps, SlackerRadio, MyCaption, d2u Transcriber, mVoice Productivity, VoiceBox Dialer with Bluetooth and Traffic, Jabra Skipping Stone, Voicebox Technologies, Inc., Talkhouse, Grooveshark, and EasyDialer 2.7.
