Samsung has added a new Xcover device to its portfolio - the Xcover 271 (B2710). The new rugged phone raises its rugged capabilities and is now certified with IP67 rating, compared to its predecessor, E2370, which's IP54-rated. This means that it is shock, dust and water resistant, and can work even after being submerged in the 1 meter deep water for up to 30 minutes.
Samsung Xcover 271 (B2710) comes with a 2-inch screen, 3G with video calling, GPS, Google Maps support, digital compass, pedometer, FM Radio, loudspeaker, torch, large keypad, music player, 30MB internal memory, microSD card slot. The battery provides up to 19 hours talk time in 2G or up to 7 hours (3G). It will cost about 1,700 kronor ($241) in Sweden in October.
