Eric Schmidt : Android Ice Cream Sandwich in Oct/Nov

Google's Eric Schmidt confirmed Android Ice Cream Sandwich for October or November at the Dreamforce conference in San Francisco.

In an interview with Salesforce.com's Marc Benioff, Schmidt said:

There's a hunger for a multi-platform, multi-vendor, highly competitive hardware platform, which is what Android essentially enables with more than 400 phone models today on the market and many, many coming. We have a new operating system, internally known as Ice Cream Sandwich for some reason, which is being released in October/November, which everyone's really excited about.
