Google Maps 2.0 First Launched by 3UK

Google Maps 2.0 is First Launched by 3UK. 3G Operator 3UK have announced they are the first MNO in Europe to launch Google Maps version 2. Google Maps version 2.0 requires a 3G connection, and will use your mobile phone connection to establish your location through GPS, and work out directions or find local services and business for you at the touch of a button.

The updated software will also:
+ Allow easy access to details of local business found in your search

+ Provide a satellite view of all locations
+ Display your internet KB usage in the corner of your screen
+ Integrate all your search results on one, easy to navigate page
+ Give detailed directions for both walkers and drivers

The new application is now available on the majority of 3's wide range of handsets.
