Timbaland V Cast Exclusive Album announced

Verizon Wireless has announced the launch of its Mobile Producer in Residence program, with the first Mobile Producer being R&B visionary Timbaland. Timbaland, widely known for hits like "Apologize" and "The Way I Are," will become Verizon Wireless' first Mobile Producer in Residence. The program was launched to bring music fans closer to their favorite artists, according to the company.

Timbo will launch an entire mobile-exclusive album via V-Cast, throughout 2008 - his chart-topping collaborations include Missy Elliott's "Get Ur Freak On" JT's "SexyBack", and more recently he has released his own album "Shock Value".

"I am honored to be named Verizon's first Mobile Producer in Residence and have the opportunity to create music from so many places in the country, and deliver it directly to my fans wherever they are through their mobile phones," Timbaland said in a statement.

The project will start end of March, and include a different artist each month, to create a new track via the Verizon Mobile Recording Studio Bus. Verizon will also broadcast session footage on the V Cast and Surround platforms.
