Samsung SGH-i780 for U.S. (as the SGH-i788?). We've heard Samsung SGH-i780 Confirmed for Europe in the previous post, Recently, a new Samsung phone, listed by the FCC which is called the Samsung SGH-i788, and it seems to be some special version of the already existing i780 model. If you compare FCC's drawing of the SGH-i788 with the SGH-i780, it looks quite similar.
You might already aware of Samsung i780. It is one of the best Windows Mobile smartphones, sporting HSDPA, WiFi and GPS. As for the i788, we're uncertain whether it will follow i780.
However, it's safe to guess that touchscreen will stay on the new model and the device will most likely run the latest version of Microsoft's mobile OS - Windows Mobile 6.1. Stay tuned.
