Tag Heuer Meridiist Luxury Cell Phone. A watch maker, Tag Heuer announced a luxury phone, Meridiist. Tag Heuer Meridiist comes with black rubber, red leather or crocodile skin as the backing cover. Created in collaboration with Modelabs, the French company that also made the Hummer and Levi’s phones, Meridiist will most probably be among the luxurious handsets of this year.

Tag Heuer Meridiist features a 1.9-inch QVGA dispay made of sapphire crystal, a secondary 96x76 pixels OLED screen, positioned at the top of the handset, a 2 Megapixel camera, integrated media player that supports MP3, AAC, MPEG-4 media formats, bluetooth, and battery with a talk-time of up to 7 hours and a stand-by time of up to 28 days. No 3G support is mentioned.

The Tag Heuer Meridiist Luxury Cell Phone looks like a "Vertu killer". Pricing will range from about $5300 to $6100.
