Garmin Nuvifone to be manufactured by ASUS? Following on the possibly Garmin Nuvifone in white version alongside the confirmed Black Nuvifone, A new rumor said that Garmin has announced that it has, for the first time ever, outsourced production of a device. Nuvifone will apparently be manufactured by ASUS. According to DigiTimes, industry sources pointed out ASUS has been working with Garmin for two years on the project, with the Taiwan-based maker chiefly contributing its know-how in RF technologies.

Garmin's director of OEM and mobile marketing, Roger Jollis, confirmed that the first Nuvifone will be the first in line of Nuvifone-branded devices planned for the next few years. Stay tuned.
