MetroPCS MetroFlash service for Sprint, Verizon, Alltel handsets

MetroPCS MetroFlash service for Sprint, Verizon, Alltel handsets
MetroPCS MetroFlash service for Sprint, Verizon, Alltel handsets. MetroPCS announced a new service called 'MetroFlash'. With this, Sprint, Verizon, and Alltel phones can now be used on the MetroFlash flat-rate wireless service for a $40 a-month fee. CDMA mobile phones (which tested by MetroPCS) can be "flashed" by MetroPCS to work on their CDMA network. Of course, the service is limited to CDMA handsets, as GSM handsets, like the iPhone, work on a completely different communications standard.

MetroPCS 'MetroFlash' Customers will receive unlimited local and long distance calling along with voice mail features and text messaging. The company said customers also will be asked to pay a $30 fee, presumably to turn on their service.

if it is impossible then how in the world do people have their iphones working with metro service?!? why would so many diffrent people be saying that they are able to use their iphones perfectly with metro service? please help me out, I had a samsung instinct with sprint service and switched it to metro service and was unable to use the internet but this was when the samsung was only a month old, and considering that metro has upgraded their services so much in such a short time i think that it makes more since for them to be able to hook up a phone that has already been "jailbroken"

--- I have also wondering if jailbreaking a phone and flashing a phone is the same.... the sprint samsung instinct was "flashed" and is that the same as being a jailbroken phone or not? (thinking that about 3 years ago flashing a phone is different than jailbreaking a phone; making it possible to use the same features that you would be able to use from the original provider....?"

SOMEONE PLEASE HELP ME! I WOULD APPRECIATE IT MORE THAN WORDS CAN EXPLAIN...I AM A BROKE STUDENT WHO IS DESPERATELY WANTING A IPHONE AND NEEDS THE GREAT CHEAP PLANS THAT METROPCS OFFERS! THANKS GUYS!!!! :-)
