Hardware-based iPhone 3G SIM Unlock from USB Fever. Following the previous iPhone 3G exclusively for AT&T until 2010, Here's good news for iPhone 3G customers who're looking to unlock their handset on other unofficial GSM carriers. It's a SIM unlock made of a very thin piece of FPC (0.10mm) with a mounted micro-controller that fits between an an operators SIM card and the phone’s SIM socket.
