Vuzix iWear AV310 virtual 52" widescreen. A new video eyewear, iWear AV310 has been announced by Vuzix. The video glasses offer a 16:9 aspect ratio to replicate a home theater screen. Users will experience a virtual 52-inch screen, as if viewed from 9 feet, displayed from twin high-resolution LCD displays. It provides a wide range of adjustments, including +2 to -5 individual diopter focus for each eye, "AccuTilt" 15 degree tilt adjustment, adjustable nosepiece, and on screen display settings.
The device is compatible with any NTSC or PAL devices with video output, including iPods, portable media players, gaming consoles, or DVD players. Both 2D and 3D video formats are supported, including "Vuzix 3D". The eyewear runs on a single AA battery, claimed to last up to 5 hours. The earbuds are removable if the user prefers their own. Vuzix iWear AV310 virtual 52" widescreen will be available for $250.
