AirCard 501, 502 HSPA ExpressCard modems unveiled by Sierra Wireless. Two new Sierra Wireless' HSPA ExpressCard modems have been unveiled, the AirCard 501 and the AirCard 502 ExpressCard modems for HSPA mobile broadband networks. Both ExpressCards feature high-speed HSUPA wireless connectivity with download speeds of up to 7.2 Mbps and upload speeds up to 5.76 Mbps and have the ability to roam globally so users can stay connected wherever travel schedules take them.
Designed for the European market, the AirCard 502 operates on the 900, 1900 and 2100 MHz UMTS bands, whereas the AirCard 501 operates on the 850, 1900 and 2100 MHz UMTS bands. The AirCard 501 will be available in Q4, 2008 and the AirCard 502 in Q1 of 2009.
