MetroPCS Communications has announced the launch of its low cost, flat-rate unlimited wireless services, with no signed contract, in the five boroughs of New York City, Newark, Jersey City and Paterson, N.J., the Greater Boston Area, Worcester, Mass., Providence, R.I. and Manchester, N.H., providing residents in the Northeast the freedom to enjoy the most affordable, flexible and predictable wireless service available.
MetroPCS offers a diverse selection of service plans, which allow customers to talk 24-hours-a-day, seven days a week, and enhanced service options so that residents of the Northeast can create a wireless experience that best fits their lifestyles. With MetroPCS, customers pay by the month, not by the minute, and services do not require a signed contract or deposit. Service plans start as low as $30 per month, and unlimited long distance service to the 48 continental United States and Puerto Rico is available with service plans as low as $35 per month. The first month of service is included with the purchase of a phone and there is no activation fee or hidden charges.
Additionally, MetroPCS offers unlimited family plans and MetroPCS Unlimited NationwideSM. MetroPCS Unlimited NationwideSM allows MetroPCS subscribers to use their affordable, flat-rate, no signed contract service in more than 300 cities in the continental United States. This expanded network is included at no additional charge in MetroPCS’ current $45 and $50 service plans and can be added for $5 per month on other qualified service plans.
In addition to bringing a new low cost, flat-rate wireless service, MetroPCS’ entry into the market will provide a positive stimulus for the local economy by creating an estimated 2,500 jobs by the end of 2009. More information is available on the official MetroPCS's website.
