Dell smartphones confirmed again

At a recent analysts presentation, Dell confirms, again, that they’re working on smartphones. Ronald Garriques, president of Dell's consumer division, said the company would "work with the top three to four" telecommunications carriers "and see what their needs are". He continued to say that the company is working on a range of smartphones, and also has plans to enter the category of devices with screen sizes between 4 and 12 inches.

Previous reports that Dell is working on Android based phones, and that Android has been ported to netbook computers will be fueled by these plans. No word on when these devices will hit the market. Stay tuned.
