Nokia 3720 Classic most rugged phone to date announced
An IP-54 certified mobile phone designed to resist water, dust and shock has been introduced by Nokia, it's Nokia 3720 classic. The mobile phone comes with 2 megapixel camera, triband GSM/EDGE supporting the 900/1800/1900 MHz bands, a 2.2 inch 240 x 320 pixel 16 million color screen, and Bluetooth 2.1. The handset also comes with the IEC 60529/Level IP54 certification for being water, dust and shock resistant. The battery cover, which protects both the battery and the internal circuitry of the device, is locked with a screw, making for worry-free usage in wet, dusty or muddy environments.

It's pretty small at only 115 mm x 47 mm x 15.3 mm, weighing in at 94 grams with a 1050 mAh battery that can provide 7 hours of talk time and 18 days standby. The Nokia 3720 is expected to retail for approximately EUR 125 before subsidies or taxes and is expected to begin shipping this summer.
