Onebox — a service that brings voice, fax, email and conference calling together into a suite of communications services — has announced mobile app support for the Blackberry and iPhone platforms. Additionally, Onebox has added Call Record, Web Conferencing and new service plans that will be rolled out through the end of year. The Blackberry app is now available, and the iPhone app is planned for release before year end.
Both Blackberry and iPhone apps extend the functionality of the web-based Onebox interface for mobile users, adding Message Center access, voicemail display/playback, voice-to-text transcription display and Click-to-Call via SpeedDial list or phone-based contact lists. The apps also add the ability to search transcribed voice mails using keywords. Call Record allows subscribers to capture and store calls as digital audio files, ideal for conversation archival or reference purposes. Web Conferencing creates a shared desktop environment, facilitating remote presentations and multiple-party collaboration. Call Record and Web Conferencing will be available as optional services to current Onebox plans. Both services are planned to roll out by year end.
Onebox has also added a new 5,000 minute, 20-extension phone service plan for $99.99/month, expanded its $79.99/month 10-extension plan from 2,000 to 3,000 minutes, and restructured its $49.99/month 4-extension plan to include 2,000 minutes.
