Android 2.1 OTA update for Verizon HTC Droid Eris coming

A Verizon Droid Eris user over at Verizon Forum has posted a new info about an over-the-air (OTA) firmware update. HTC customer support has apparently confirmed that Verizon will roll out an Android 2.1 OTA update to the Droid HTC Eris over the next two weeks.

Some users claim to have received an OTA update, Android 2.1 with no Sense UI. Some have not been so lucky, already checked for an update but found none. Please comment if you have received the update.
