Firmware update 1.3.18 for Motorola CLIQ

Good news for all CLIQ users, A new over-the-air (OTA) software update version 1.3.18 has been released for the Motorola CLIQ. The 1.3.18 software update provides improvements to the Motorola CLIQ's battery life, touchscreen accuracy, better business connections, GPS performance, QuickOffice 2, and other functions outlined below. After downloading and installing the 1.3.18 software release, you will notice:
+ Longer Battery Life
+ Improved battery life while phone is idle or running applications.
+ New Battery Management Feature.
A new "Battery Management" feature lets you customize battery settings, such as turning data off when phone is idle for 30 minutes. And with the 1.3.18 release installed on your phone, you now have the option to select battery consumption modes that optimize data performance while minimizing battery consumption. To enable Battery Manager, go to Settings, Battery Manager, Battery Profile.
+ Better Bluetooth.
Allows a Bluetooth car kit to sync to your device so your car kit can display the names of incoming callers, download phone book contacts so calls can be made from the car kit display and allows you to view the call history list from the car kit display. You can also listen to visual voicemail over Bluetooth. Improved pairings, audio and call connections with Bluetooth headsets, including: rewind/fast forward feature with S9 and HT820 headsets.
+ Faster GPS Performance.
Provides faster GPS performance for applications like Google Maps, Geotagging of photos and other GPS functions (SUPL).
+ SIM Card Management.
Import, export or delete contacts individually or in groups.
+ Touch Screen Accuracy
Improved touch screen accuracy and protection against inadvertent key presses and unintended phone calls.
+ TTY Option
Text Telephone option for the hearing/speech-impaired lets you converse with callers via "real time" text messaging instead of relying on the caller's audio.
+ Better Audio Routing.
Repairs audio routing to prevent spontaneous speakerphone activations during calls and the random occurrence of music playback through the earpiece instead of appropriate external speakers.
+ Better Business Connections
Improved connections to corporate email accounts.
+ Improved Caller Connectivity.
1.3.18 repairs issues with lingering connections after hang-up. Improves user interface performance, consistently notifying you when a new call is coming in, reducing missed call notifications.
+ Support For Additional Windows Media Formats.
Compatible with more media formats including .WMA and .WAV Windows media files.
+ Quick Office 2
Quick Office 2 supports additional file types and enhanced capabilities. Read, edit or create Microsoft Office documents with the latest, preloaded version of Quickoffice.
+ Accelerometer Enhancements
Improves overall accelerometer responsiveness and accuracy.
+ The Latest Versions of Google Applications.
Updated GMS application provides access to the latest versions of Google apps like Maps, Talk, YouTube, Market and more.
+ Additional Stability.
Additional device stability reduces occurrence of unresponsiveness and/or programs quitting unexpectedly.

In addition to this interim update, it was recently announced that CLIQ users can expect to see a software upgrade to Android 2.1 at a later date.
