Pharos 565 is a rugged Windows phone

A new ruggedized Windows Mobile PDA phone has been unveiled, the Pharos 565, which is the world’s first ruggedized PDA based on Windows Mobile 6.5. The ruggedized Pharos 565 PDA is compliant with the International Protection Rating (IP54) standard and can resist a drop in a range of 4 ~ 5 feet. It includes the complete Office Mobile suite of applications.

The Pharos 565 Windows Mobile PDA comes with a 3.5-inch QVGA touchscreen display, built-in GPS navigation, WiFi, Bluetooth, IrDA, RAW IR/SIR, Windows Mobile 6.5, a full QWERTY keyboard, Marvell PXA310 624 MHz CPU, 512 MB Flash ROM, 256 MB DDR SDRAM, multimedia entertainment, GPS navigation, a long-life Li-Ion Polymer battery, AC adapter, USB cable, and the included software package.

The Pharos 565 ruggedized Windows Mobile 6.5 PDA phone is already available with a MSRP of $529.95.
