During CTIA Wireless 2010, the Mobile Marketing Association (MMA) has announced the formal launch of its MMA Canada Council. The launch reflects the latest in the MMA's efforts to establish regional presence with local focus across the globe. MMA Canada is led by Michael O'Farrell, Country Manager for the MMA, along with Canadian council co-chairs Ross Buchanan, Director, Digital & Relationship Marketing at MolsonCoors and Andrew Osmak, SVP, Business Development & New Ventures at LavaLife.
MMA Canada joins already established councils in Austria, Germany, India, Philippines, South Africa, Spain, Turkey and the United Kingdom. The MMA Canada Council is a factor in the acceleration of the adoption of mobile marketing for its members as part of the North America region.
With more than 25 members in Canada, the MMA will leverage its success in North America and other regions to help MMA Canada members speed the launch of their initiatives as well as educate the already mobile savvy market on the power of mobile marketing.
Established with over 25 founding member companies, MMA Canada launches with a full complement of mobile marketing innovators and anticipates more than doubling its membership presence before the end of 2010.
