Yellowbook partners with Adaffix to bring the call recognition app to the U.S.
Yellowbook has announced that it has joined forces with adaffix, developer of a new social call recognition and recommendation application for smart phones, to introduce unique, time-saving functionalities to smart phone users across the United States. Previously available only in Denmark, Germany and Austria, the mobile app adds relevant content to outbound and inbound calls in real time.

“To launch our award winning mobile app in the US, we wanted a partner with a national footprint and an innovative mobile portfolio,” said Claudia Poepperl, CEO and founder of adaffix. “Yellowbook was the only company that fit our criteria, and more.”

“Partnering with adaffix allows us to introduce an advanced smart phone level of utility to yellowbook.com users,” added Mike Wilson, general manager and vice president - digital media at Yellowbook. “One key feature is the app’s ability to auto-suggest alternate local businesses to callers if they get a busy signal or no answer. In critical and time-sensitive situations, hitting re-dial shouldn’t be the only option. "

The award winning mobile application also identifies callers outside a smart phone user’s contact list, and can be linked to the user’s Facebook accounts, automatically displaying friends’ photos and latest status when they call.

Joining Yellowbook’s established, highly rated mobile portfolio which includes a range of yellowbook.com native and mobile web apps for Android, Blackberry, iPhone, the newly released iPad and more, information on the adaffix app and free download can be can be found at yellowbook.com
