14.1-inch Kno education-focused single screen tablet announced

Tablet maker Kno has announced that it will release this year a single-screen tablet for the education market. The device will come with a 14.1-inch display, a stylus for note taking, ability to run educational applications, while also providing Web access and the ability to play multimedia content. A dual-screen version is expected to cost under $1000, while the single-screen tablet will be less expensive. No word on pricing.

According to Osman Rashid, chief executive and co-founder of Kno,

“Even though the Kno pays for itself in 13 months, the smaller upfront investment of the single-screen version will allow more students to use our learning platform”
