Vodafone has announced the launch of three new phones to its popular own-brand handset range. The Vodafone 553 qwerty side-slider, the Vodafone 945 Android smartphone and the refreshed Vodafone 543 are all due in store in time for the busy Christmas sales period.
The Vodafone 553 comes with a touchscreen with qwerty side-slider, a 2.8-inch touchscreen, 2MP camera, Bluetooth, FM radio, pre-installed Opera Mini 5 web browser, Vodafone’s 360 People address book, media player and a microSD memory card slot for up to 8 GB of extra memory. It comes in black, white, silver or pink, and will be available on pre-pay tariffs in most European Vodafone markets. No word on pricing.
Vodafone 945 features Android 2.1 OS, a 3.2-inch WQVGA capacitive multi-touch screen with haptic feedback, 5MP camera, GPS, Bluetooth, HSDPA connectivity, WiFi and 300MB of built-in memory that can be built up to 32GB with a Micro SD card. The phone comes in black or silver. No word on price.
