A new NFC-equipped phone by Samsung, the SHW-A170K, has been announced by KT in South Korea. Coming with Near Field Communication technology, the mobile phone uses NFC compatible USIM. The handset boasts a 3-inch WQVGA touchscreen, 3 megapixel camera, Bluetooth 2.1, T-DMB mobile TV receiver, and GPS.
An NFC (Near Field Communication)-enabled device is like a contactless card that will help users to make payments e.g. buying tickets, gift cards or food, with companies like GS Caltex, Lotte, Dunkin’ Donuts and Baskin Robbins announcing their support for NFC payments.
