You can download the Android 2.2 Froyo Firmware update for HTC Desire via Telus. The new release brings portable Wi-Fi hotspot capability, improved browser performance, and apps storage to your memory card. Originally Android 2.2 was promised to be “coming in October” but TELUS support posted on Twitter that “We got word that Android 2.2 has been pushed back and will be out in the near future in Q4?. Now, the firmware upgrade can be grabbed OTA. You can download it via Menu > Settings > Phone Info > Software Updates.
