Disney Mobile has unveiled an Android phone in Japan. The phone is apparently a rebranding or slight redesign of the Sharp Galapagos 003SH Android smartphone which boast glasses-free 3D screens, we already saw before. If it's correct, the Disney Android phone will feature Android 2.2 Froyo, 3.8-inch WVGA no-glasses-required 3D display, 1GHz processor, a 9.6MP camera and Japan-friendlly features such as 1Seg over-the-air TV tuning and FeliCa for wireless payments.
Users will also get a *@disney.ne.jp MMS address and original home screens, apps, widgets, and emoticons. Design cases will also be included, from a choice out of six custom designs that are designed to resemble Disney characters. The handset should be going on sale some time in February.
