Alcatel OT-990 lands on O2 UK

O2 UK has a new low-cost Android smartphone in its portfolio - the Alcatel OT-990 with a price tag of 99.99 GBP on PAYG. Even though it's budget-friendly, it doesn't mean it doesn't have good specs. The Alcatel OT phone runs on Android 2.2 Froyo and has a 3.5-inch HVGA touchscreen display, 600MHz CPU, 5MP auto-focus camera with LED flash, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth, 3.5mm headset jack, memory card slot, and more. Alcatel OT-980 comes with a slide-out QWERTY keyboard whereas the Alcatel OT-990 relies on a touch screen keyboard.
