Lode Runner X coming to Android-powered Sony Ericsson Xperia PLAY

Sony Ericsson has entered into an exclusive deal with Tozai Games to launch the franchise “Lode Runner” on Android for the first time. From November 2011, the remake of the legendary game will be available exclusively on Xperia PLAY and other Xperia devices.

Commenting on the news, Scott K. Tsumura (Tozai Games' Co-Founder) said: "We're delighted to be launching Lode Runner X on Xperia PLAY – the smartphone's performance and physical controls add a great new dimension to our title which until now has only been available on traditional games consoles."

Those not familiar with the game; According to Wikipedia, Lode Runner has been originally published in 1983, "It is one of the first games to include a level editor, a feature that allows players to create their own levels for the game." We don't know whether that capability will be included in the mobile version or not.
