Samsung Star 3 and Star 3 DUOS touch phones debut. Samsung has recently announced the latest addition to its Samsung Star series portfolio - the launch of its Samsung Star 3 and Samsung Star 3 DUOS, following the tremendous success of Samsung Star and Samsung Star 2. Enhanced by ChatON, the company's own cross-platform social networking messenger service, both Samsung Star 3 and Star 3 DS are touchscreen phones featuring a minimalist metallic frame with rounded edges, and providing an ergonomic grip while 11.5mm thin.

Both new Samsung Star 3 and Star 3 DUOS touch phones come with a 3-inch QVGA screen, a 3.2MP camera, WiFi 802.11 functionality, Samsung Kies, Samsung TouchWiz Lite / WAP 2.0 (NetFront 4.2), music player with SoundAlive, 3.5mm Ear Jack. There are also Opera mini browser, Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, 20MB User memory, microSD (up to 16GB), stereo FM Radio with RDS, Samsung ChatON mobile communication service.

For those who haven't yet heard of it, ChatON communication service enables sign-in without ID or PW to send personalized multimedia messages, group chat, buddy management. The owner of the new Samsung Star series phones will be able to push IM via ChatON, various Instant Messaging services with MSN, Yahoo!, and Google Talk, natively integrated Facebook, Twitter and push emails keep users entertained and connected – anytime, anywhere.

Samsung Star 3 DUOS features all the rich functionality of the Samsung Star 3 in addition to a unique "Dual SIM" system that maximizes communication flexibility, allowing two separate phone numbers in a single device. Users who need to balance busy professional and social lives can, at the touch of a button, use this feature to switch between lines and billing plans according to need.

As for the size, Samsung Star 3 and Star 3 DUOS touch phones measure 58 x 102 x 11.5 mm and weighs 95 grams. The battery is standard battery, Li-ion 1,000 mAh.

Both Samsung Star 3 and Star 3 DUOS touch phones will be available in Russia starting in late January, and then gradually rolled out in CIS, Europe, Latin America, Africa, Middle East, and Southeast Asia. The Star 3 DUOS will also be available in Southwest Asia.
