Flagship Galaxy Studio for the Sochi 2014 Olympic Winter Games has been unveiled by Samsung. Global tennis icon and Samsung’s Brand Ambassador for Sochi 2014, Maria Sharapova joins Samsung in the opening of the Galaxy Studio in the Olympic Park. What is Samsung Galaxy Studio? The Galaxy Studio Olympic Park will enable consumers to interact with Samsung’s latest wireless technology and connect with the Olympic Games. The Galaxy Studio has been designed to offer visitors a chance to get their hands on Samsung’s latest mobile devices to create, capture and share their own Olympic Games experience. The Galaxy Studio Opening is the culmination of the All-Russia Samsung Galaxy Studio On-the-Go Roadshow that traveled across 15 major Russian cities from September to November 2013, aiming to expand the Olympic spirit throughout Russian regions, boosting the excitement and anticipation for Sochi 2014. In addition to the flagship Galaxy Studio in the Olympic Park, Samsung will have three other Studios located in the Coastal Village, Mountain Village and Sochi Art Museum Square to expand the Olympic spirit to a wider audience.
Visitors to Samsung Galaxy Studio in Sochi Olympic Park will get a chance to test Samsung technologies and experience winter Olympic sports through features in Samsung GALAXY devices. Visitors will be able to experience winter Olympic sports via innovative Samsung technologies at the Sport Interactive Zone, and show their support for athletes by sending cheers through Samsung’s ChatON app at the Cheering Zone. Famous Russian athletes - members of Samsung GALAXY Team Russia will appear digitally to introduce their kind of sport, and explain rules of the mobile game and the features of Samsung technologies involved in a fun and interactive way. A special Kids Zone will allow children to enjoy drawing on the Galaxy Note 3 and receive a badge of their own drawing.
Galaxy Studio Olympic Park consists of 16 reusable structures that were brought to Sochi and assembled onsite for use throughout the Games. After the Games conclude, the Galaxy Studio in Olympic Park will be dismantled and the structures will be distributed for reuse, leaving minimal waste. These efforts are the latest in a series of sustainable activities by Samsung around its Olympic Games sponsorship and larger commitment to building a better global society.
