High Technology Backpack - iBackPack - Announces Retail Strategy -- Austin, Texas based, iBackPack, announces new retail distribution strategy and purchasing capabilities. "We will continue to provide direct-sales following the Dell business model, we believe the iBackPack product is well suited for retail distribution," said Doug Monahan, CEO & Founder. While the iBackPack is a technology marvel it very clearly falls in line with the luggage business model exemplified by industry leader Hartman Luggage. The iBackPack is in the process of building a national authorized repair center system provided by over one thousand shoe repair shops in the United States and around the world. When asked why he chose shoe repair shops to repair the iBackPacks, Ile Jubovski, Vice President stated, "We wanted to make sure any repairs could be done quickly and easily and within 30 minutes drive time for 95% of our users - shoe repair centers simply made the most sense."
iBackPack is expected to be sold in over 5,000 retail centers within the next 18 months. It is ramping up its manufacturing and production facilities throughout 4th quarter 2015 and expected to be shipping initial stocking orders of over 200,000 units. The company's investment in the iBackPack is in the tens of millions of dollars.
