Panasonic Partners With Big Brothers Big Sisters on "Share The Music" Headphone Donation Initiative -- Newark-based Consumer Products Company Will Donate Headphones to Area Children in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Essex, Hudson & Union Counties Programs.
Panasonic Consumer Products Company announced today "Share The Music" -- a program in which they will donate headphones to children in Big Brothers Big Sisters of Essex, Hudson & Union Counties programs. Panasonic's North American headquarters are located in Newark.
During the month of August, for every qualifying headphone purchase1 made at Panasonic.com, Panasonic will donate a pair of its popular Sound Rush on-ear headphones2 to Big Brothers Big Sisters (BBBS) of Essex, Hudson & Union Counties. Panasonic's aim is to provide each of the 1,100 children enrolled in BBBS programs locally with headphones. BBBS's mission is to provide children facing adversity with strong and enduring, professionally supported one-to-one relationships that change their lives for the better.
"It has long been one of Panasonic's basic business principles to make contributions to society overall and the communities in which we do business," said Julie Bauer, President, Panasonic Consumer Products Company and Chief Marketing Officer of Panasonic Corporation of North America. "Share The Music is a very simple way for us to do that by bringing a little joy to a child's life and supporting the great work that Big Brothers Big Sisters is doing to improve the lives of children in our community."
"Partnership on paper is one thing, but what Panasonic is doing with our children, families and communities goes much deeper," said Carlos Lejnieks, President & CEO of Big Brothers Big Sisters of Essex, Hudson & Union Counties. "This donation is merely one articulation of our growing work together to help offer support for our programs."
