RE/MAX introduces Apple Watch App -- Helpful Real Estate Info at Arm's Reach for On-the-Go Consumers
RE/MAX, a global franchisor of real estate brokerage services (NYSE: RMAX), is launching a consumer app for the Apple Watch. Now available in the Apple App Store, RE/MAX Real Estate Search offers location-based search capabilities with scrollable for-sale listing details and agent contact links.
"Creating an app for the latest Apple innovation is just another demonstration that RE/MAX is on the leading edge of real estate technology advancements," said Tim Drouillard, Senior Vice President, Information Technology at RE/MAX, LLC. "Our goal has always been to provide the most reliable information, in the most convenient formats for the largest number of consumers."
The launch of RE/MAX Real Estate Search adds to the collection of mobile applications that RE/MAX has introduced in recent years, including Apps for the iPad, the iPhone and Android smartphones.
"In the past, we created content for the Internet that could also be viewed on other devices. Now, with the tremendous growth of mobile users, we're designing content primarily for smartphones and mobile devices that's also compatible with the traditional Internet platform," Drouillard added.
The RE/MAX Apple Watch app is just one element of a comprehensive RE/MAX technology initiative that is also redesigning remax.com, constructing an enhanced broker-agent intranet and delivering new responsive websites to RE/MAX agents. This technology initiative is designed to provide consumers with easy access to reliable real estate information and offer agents valuable tech tools in a competitive business environment.
Recent online strategies have resulted in remax.com attracting more consumer visits than any other real estate franchise website. (Source: Hitwise Jan. – June 2015 report of all U.S. websites in the "Business and Finance – Real Estate" category)
In the Apple App Store, the RE/MAX Real Estate Search app can be easily found by searching its name or a number of common real estate keywords, such as house search, homes for sale, etc. Although Apple has not released details, industry analysts project that the number of Apple Watch users could be more than 15 million after its first year.
