Good Dynamics Platform delivers seamless access to popular cloud repositories within the secure container
SUNNYVALE, Calif. -- Good Technology, the leader in secure mobility, extended mobile content management (MCM) capabilities of the Good Dynamics Secure Mobility Platform to Box, a leading enterprise content management and collaboration platform. With this new capability, Good Work users can now securely access Box content directly within the app container, optimizing mobile workflows while adding an additional layer of data security without requiring an additional application. Support for Box builds on the comprehensive, extensible Good Dynamics platform to securely mobilize content for collaboration, which today includes Microsoft SharePoint and OneDrive as well as network file shares.
"Our customers rely on Good to enable enterprise grade security across their workflows, enabling their users to share, manage and collaborate with content on the device and in the cloud," said Christy Wyatt, chairman and CEO of Good Technology. "Good's expanded content management capabilities enable seamless and secure access to Box files directly from within any Good Dynamics application."
This new capability within Good Work requires no additional changes by IT, maintaining existing Box accounts, document rights management and audit logs. Users can download, view, bookmark and save files from Box and send links to files or folders via Good Work email. Box files can also be viewed and edited online using Microsoft Web Apps in Good Access™, and Microsoft files can be converted to PDF without requiring a separate app. Good's integration of Box access delivers heightened security and productivity for content access with a simplified user experience accessible from Good Work or any Good Dynamics application.
"Enterprise mobility management solutions have gotten employees mobilized for most key business functions like email and calendar, but secure access to file repositories and content has been an area where most organizations are still evaluating strategies," said Maribel Lopez principal and founder of Lopez Research. "Mobile workers are only going to be effective if they have easy access to the files they need on the devices of their choice, and add-on connectors to the EMM platform is one of the strategies that firms can use to securely and seamlessly deliver that capability."
Accessing Box from Good Work via the Good Dynamics Platform will be available in Q4 2015.
