NetComm Wireless Launches Verizon Wireless Certified 4G WiFi M2M Router in the U.S.
NetComm Wireless Limited has announced that Verizon Wireless has certified the NetComm Wireless 4G WiFi M2M Router (NTC-140W-01) for deployment in the U.S. The industrial-grade NTC-140W-01 brings the coverage, speed and performance of the nation's largest 4G LTE network to market segments that manage large amounts of data from digital displays, smart buildings, remote healthcare, emergency response, business back-up and other bandwidth-intensive Machine-to-Machine (M2M) applications.
Designed to enable undisrupted connectivity and remote management, the NTC-140W-01 facilitates the seamless migration of devices, machines and other assets from 2G to 4G LTE. The NTC-140W-01 supports demanding M2M deployments on Verizon's 4G LTE network and offers a new level of networking with features including: two Gigabit Ethernet ports and high-speed WiFi along with vehicle voltage support, GPS and ignition input for mobile assets.
"The Verizon Wireless certified NTC-140W-01 gives businesses the power to transition new and existing assets from 2G to 4G LTE at a time of significant bandwidth, speed and capacity advancements. In 2014 Verizon invested over $10 billion in improvements to its network and we are pleased to introduce a device that allows US based businesses to take advantage of these network enhancements," said David Stewart, CEO and Managing Director, NetComm Wireless.
The device ensures reliable connectivity to time critical systems, tele-health services and disaster recovery applications with automatic failover to 3G when outside of 4G coverage areas, and instant fall-back to 4G when the Gigabit Ethernet ports are used as an alternate Internet connection. The built in VPN client also ensure a secure connection over public mobile networks.
The powerful processor delivers optimal performance and its embedded NetComm Linux OS and Software Development Kit (SDK) enables the installation of custom software applications to the on board memory. Its polycarbonate and rubber enclosure is mountable, designed for rugged deployments and also features temperature tolerances making the robust NTC-140W-01 ideal for remote and industrial environments.
NetComm Wireless is exhibiting at CTIA Super Mobility 2015, September 9-11 at the Sands Expo & Convention Centre in Las Vegas, Nevada. Visit the team at stand #5149.
