Native iPhone P2P Torrent Software
Native iPhone P2P Torrent Software. An iPhone hacker ported code from the Transmission site to run on the iPhone's ARM microprocessor. And while this is still extremely preliminary software, we're kinda sure it will develop over time.
In the meantime, it's not advisable to use it over EDGE — the software usually crashes or reaches such "speeds" like 5kb/s — but with WiFi - sky is your limit.
You can get more information as well as instructions how to use it.

Motorola Z8 Firmware Update
Motorola Z8 Firmware Update. Motorola has been shipping updated firmwares on new handsets for a while now, but the early Z8 owners were left to deal with somewhat buggy software. Now, they can update their smartphones, It seems the firmware can make them more stable. It should be good for users to have the latest firmware version.
In order to update the Z8, you'll need to download Motorola's software update tool. Once you install it, connect your phone using USB cable (put the Z8 in "USB Modem" modem) and you should see an updated firmware available.
You can already download Motorola's software update tool from the official website.

ZiPhone 2.5 - iPhone 1.1.4 Jailbreak + Unlock
ZiPhone 2.5 - iPhone 1.1.4 Jailbreak + Unlock. Zibri has announced that the other jailbreak GUI-offering has been updated to work with the iPhone v1.1.4. As expected, ZiPhone 2.5 is an update to the ZiPhone 2.4 jailbreak tool for iPhones running the previous v1.1.3 firmware.
ZiPhone 2.5 works just like ZiPhone 2.4 - which is to say that it'll jailbreak, unlock, and even activate your iPhone v1.1.4, regardless of when you bought it (Bootloader versions 3.9 and 4.6 are good to go). And, while iNdependence is a Mac-only solution (for now), ZiPhone 2.5 does its magic on both Windows and Mac machines!

Motorola W270 on FCC
Motorola W270 on FCC. The FCC has unveiled yet another Motorola clamshell handset for the mid-range set. CellPhoneSignal gave us a heads up on the Motorola W270's recent FCC publication. As a mid-range handset, the Moto W270 features a dual-band GSM (850/1900Mhz) radio, MP3 playback, microSD card slot, and FM radio with RDS. The dual-band radio could be preparing to lock on to T-Mobile towers, but that's speculation at this point.
The W270 does though bring a more slim style to Motorola’s mid-range at being 17mm thick, and no doubt everything will need to be sacrificed excluding maybe GPRS and camera to get this mobile handset near an affordable price.
