Nokia C3 (RM-614) approved by the FCC
We’ve spotted a new unannounced Nokia device hitting FCC labs called Nokia C3 (RM-614). No word on full specs but from the sketchy image of the C3’s back on FCC’s website, we guess it may be a candybar with a QWERTY keyboard on it. As previously reported, the Cseries handsets “focus on social interaction between friends and family”, so it would make sense for the C3 to boast a QWERTY keyboard or maybe even touchscreen.

Ovi Store has been improved by Nokia. The updated client comes with few notable changes:
+ Make it easier to browse, search and discover content
+ Improve the quality of content reviews (eg: change from 3 to 5 star rating system)
+ Provide more product information to help you decide what to buy
You can grab the latest release by opening up the Store application on your device and click “accept” when prompted to install the new software. You can also check out http://store.ovi.com through your mobile browser.

Toshiba IS02 (aka K01) Windows Phone released in Japan via au by KDDI
Toshiba IS02 (also known as Toshiba K01 in the US) has been released in Japan via au by KDDI. It's like a Toshiba TG02 but with a full side-sliding QWERTY keyboard.
Toshiba IS02 comes with Windows Mobile 6.5.3 OS, a 1GHz Snapdragon processor, 4.1-inch (480×800 resolution) AMOLED touchscreen with customized NX, a 3.2 megapixel Camera module with AF, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, 384MB RAM, 512MB ROM, and business card reader. Size wise, the Toshiba IS02 measures 66×123x12.9 mm and has a weight of 158 grams.

Samsung I6500U Android 2.1 phone for China Unicom
Samsung I6500U Android 2.1 phone is heading to China Unicom and the current pre-order price in a Chinese website is set at 3,399 Yuan which is about $500. Samsung I6500U comes with a 3.2-inch AMOLED capacitive touch screen with a resolution of 320 x 480 pixels, handwriting recognition, HSDPA, 800MHz processor, WiFi (WAPI), 3.2 megapixel camera with a maximum of 2048 x 1536 pixels for the static camera, GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, USB 2.0, microSD card slot supporting up to 32GB and a 1500mAh battery. The phone also has a built-in FM radio module in which you can store multiple stations.

Zain Africa acquired by Bharti Airtel
Zain has announced the US$10.7 billion sale of its African operations to Bharti Airtel. Under the agreement, Bharti will acquire Zain’s African mobile services operations in 15 countries with a total customer base of over 42 million. Zain is the market leader in ten of these countries and ranks second in four countries. With this acquisition, Bharti Airtel will be the world’s fifth largest wireless company with operations across 18 countries. Bharti group’s global telecom footprint will expand to 21 countries along with the operations in Seychelles, Jersey, and Guernsey. The company’s network will now cover over 1.8 billion people - the second largest population coverage among Telcos globally.
Seven to power Samsung Social Hub
