T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide announced

T-Mobile has officially announced the myTouch 3G Slide. It comes with a full QWERTY keyboard, Swype keyboard preloaded, 5MP camera with autofocus and flash, Android 2.1 with Sense UI, 3.4-inch HVGA touchscreen display, WiFi, 3G, Blueooth, and GPS. There's a “Genius button” that allows you to use voice commands. T-Mobile myTouch 3G Slide will be available in June.

LG teams Up with Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria Parker to promote LG Lotus Elite and LG Rumor Touch

LG Mobile Phones has forged an alliance with fashionable stars Victoria Beckham and Eva Longoria Parker to promote the company’s latest touchscreen mobile phones, the stylish LG Lotus Elite and LG Rumor Touch. The integrated campaign, called LG Fashion Touch, promotes personal style and the idea that mobile phones have become the latest in fashion communication. The partnership includes a print and online campaign, series of MTV vignettes, consumer promotion and an event in Los Angeles to celebrate the integration of fashion and technology.

Firmware update 210.12.15 for Nokia E75

A new firmware upgrade has been released for Nokia E75 smartphone. The new version 210.12.15 comes with stability improvements and also bug fixes.

Firmware Update 20.0.005 for Nokia 5230

A new firmware upgrade has been released for Nokia 5230 touchscreen phone. The new version 20.0.005 brings improved music player, faster GPS, Ovi Sync added to the desktop, and kinetic scrolling is now included in the main menu.

McAfee Anti-Malware Solution for Android announced

McAfee has announced the availability of its anti-malware solution to secure Android-based smartphones. The McAfee VirusScan Mobile technology is available now for users of Android and Windows Mobile-based smartphones from SK Telecom in Korea. The software can be downloaded at no additional charge by SK Telecom customers from SK Telecom’s mobile application store “TStore.”

Twitter for Android available

The official Twitter app for Android is available in Android Market! Twitter for Android app lets you share any link or photo easily. Reading tweets is easy in a bunch of places on your phone. The Twitter application also comes with widgets. Quickly access your timeline with the home screen widget, view a tweet location on a map, and see your friend’s latest tweet in your phonebook, GoogleTalk list or any application that uses Android’s QuickContact bar. Twitter for Android app is available for phones running Android 2.1 and above.

BlackBerry Mobile Voice System 5 with Voice over Wi-Fi Calling

RIM has announced BlackBerry Mobile Voice System 5 (BlackBerry MVS 5) with voice over Wi-Fi calling. BlackBerry MVS 5 works with Cisco Unified Communications Manager to provide a business user with the ability to use their regular desk phone number and extension from their BlackBerry smartphone. With the new version 5, an employee will be able to use a single work phone number shared between their desk phone and BlackBerry smartphone and make and receive enterprise calls on their BlackBerry smartphone over a Wi-Fi connection, adding to the existing capability available over cellular networks.

New Google Image Search for Android and iPhone

Google Image Search for mobile has been redesigned. The new version of Image Search is available for iPhone 3.0+ and Android 2.1 devices in 38 languages worldwide.
