Motorola ATRIX smartphone runs on Android 2.3 with a refreshed, intuitive user interface, better battery and data manager, the ability to better organize your application. Combined with Motorola’s revolutionary webtop application, Motorola ATRIX transforms when placed in the companion Lapdock or HD Multimedia Dock, running a full Mozilla Firefox 4.0 browser and supporting Adobe Flash Player to open up all the rich graphics, animations and video on the web.

Motorola Mobility has recently launched Motorola XOOM 2 Android tablet in Italy. Motorola XOOM 2 is available at TIM stores for 599 Euro (all taxes included). As you may already be aware, the new Motorola XOOM 2 features Android 3.2 Honeycomb, a dual-core 1.2 GHz processor, 10.1-inch HD display with Corning Gorilla Glass for scratch resistance and a splashguard coating. The Motorola Android tablet include the new MotoCast application that lets you stream all your music, photos, videos and documents between your computer to your tablet without any media tools, apps, or cords.

LG Optimus LTE smartphone hits one million in sales. LG Electronics has recently announced that sales of its world's first high definition LTE smartphone, the LG Optimus LTE have exceeded over 1 million units, putting it at the forefront of the emerging LTE era. First launched in Korea in October 2011, the Optimus LTE hit sales of 600,000 units there in the first 3 months, making it the most popular LTE-capable phone in a highly competitive market. On the first day of its launch in Japan, the LG Optimus LTE also recorded sales of 8,500 units.

Toshiba Excite X10 Android tablet to be available in the U.S. mid-Q1 2012
Toshiba has recently unveiled plans to introduce the Toshiba Excite X10 tablet, the world's thinnest 10-inch tablet, to the U.S. market. Measuring in at just 0.3 inches (7.7mm) thin and weighing just 1.18 pounds (535g), the Android tablet offers a premium design with essential ports and features needed for a more complete experience. The Toshiba Excite X10 tablet will be available in the U.S. starting in the first quarter of 2012.
Galaxy Note firmware update brings enhancements, not ICS Android 4.0
Samsung has recently rolled-out a new maintenance update for its Galaxy Note smartphone. Although it's not Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich users are looking forward to, the new release brings improvements and enhancements to the overall user experience on the Samsung Galaxy Note, including the better keyboard, torch widget, brightness and lockscreen tweaks.
The Keyboard on the Samsung Galaxy Note now comes with five rows with the number row being always visible. There's also a new "one hand" mode that shrinks the layout, so users can easily type with one hand only. You can enjoy preinstalled torch widget that supports 3 different brightness levels. You cycle through them by continuously tapping the widget. The Galaxy Note firmware update also comes with ability to set different brightness level for the browser, saving you some battery juice along the way. Regarding the lockscreen, It has improved lockscreen with arrows around the padlock, encouraging you to swipe to unlock. The Calendar app now supports different date formats. Previously it showed the date in the day/month/year format. Now after this update the date format will change according to your phone's language.

Firmware updates for Sprint HTC EVO 4G, HTC Design 4G, Samsung Epic 4G
New firmware updates have recently been released by Sprint for three of its smartphones - the HTC Evo 4G, HTC Design 4G, and Samsung Epic 4G. The new software updates bring "Security Update" which is apparently the Carrier IQ removal. You can get the updates over-the-air (OTA).
