fring 3.36 for Symbian available. fring just released fring’s latest version 3.36, with some new upgrades, upgraded GUI, bug fixes and more. It's now available for all Symbian 9 devices.

Samsung 8 megapixel phones + 3x optical zoom next year, 12 megapixel later. According to Telecoms Korea, Samsung Techwin and Samsung Electro-Mechanics, two of the South Korean giant’s subsidiaries, have already developed 8 Megapixel camera modules with 3x optical zoom. Apparently, the module has an autofocus performance improved by 57%, a 1/2.5-inch CMOS sensor and lens that support F2.85. It is expectedly a bit bigger than the 5MP module previously developed by Samsung.

Sony Ericsson Hikaru 8MP touchscreen phone? Sony Ericsson will reportedly release a new touchscreen handset that will bring 8GB of internal memory and an 8 Megapixel camera, it's codenamed 'Hikaru'. The mobile phone comes with a large touchscreen display, and a slider to feature an alphanumeric or a QWERTY keyboard.

Since there’s no image with the real Sony Ericsson Hikaru, The folk behind Unwired View has played around a bit and made a mockup of it, based on SE’s W960 model.
