Element Case has unveiled a new Vapor Pro case for the Apple iPhone 4. The New Vapor Pro profile is slightly taller than the Vapor 4 for greater impact protection and has larger connector cut outs for use with a full range of aftermarket cables and high end headphones. An aerospace polymer insert also prevents "detuning" of the iPhone 4 antenna and alleviates the common "death grip." The FE (first edition) kit will be offered in limited quantities. The case also rocks a special electrolytic hard coat that's more resistant to abrasion.

After releasing "Heritage" and "National Parks" applications, Fotopedia has released another iOS app. Called "Memory of Colors", the app presents "the amazing colors of humankind’s last treasures" with a "message of peace, tolerance and respect for the people threatened by globalization." This masterpiece by Jaime Ocampo Rangel is a rainbow of 1,300 photos of 40 unique cultures, created over 12 years, in 18 countries (from Algeria to Yemen) and across 5 continents. “Memory of Colors” was first exhibited at the UNESCO’s headquarters in 2010.

A new low-end slider phone by Samsung, the E2330 is coming to Germany. Samsung E2330 targets entry-level users. The phone comes with a VGA camera, Bluetooth 2.1, FM radio, a 2-inch 128×160 QQVGA screen, music player, GPRS, a microSD slot up to 8GB. There are also applications like mobile tracker, fake call as well as a battery that promises to provide up to 12.6 hours of talk time.

LG has announced that the Japanese-market version of LG Optimus Pad is available for pre-order in Japan starting March 15. The Japanese version Optimus Pad (model L-06C) will be offered through a partnership with NTT DOCOMO, the country’s leading mobile operator. The Japanese version of the LG Optimus Pad is pre-loaded with applications custom-made for local tastes, including BeeTV which offers a wide selection of entertainment contents tailored for DOCOMO customers. It also includes the 2Dfacto application allowing users to access a wide selection of e-books and comics for reading on the generous 8.9-inch Optimus Pad screen.

In addition to the NFC capabilities, Android 2.3.3 OS also supports WebM Video. WebM (.webm) is an open media file format designed for the web. WebM files consist of video streams compressed with the VP8 video codec and audio streams compressed with the Vorbis audio codec. The WebM file structure is based on the Matroska media container. VP8 is a highly efficient video compression technology that was developed by On2 Technologies, the company which was acquired by Google in February, 2010. After being acquired by Google, the VP8 codec was licensed under a BSD license.

A recent study has reported that cell phones could affect your brain activity in the part of the brain closest to the antenna. The study was meant to examine how the brain reacts to electromagnetic fields caused by wireless phone signals. Researchers found that your brain is affected by electromagnetic radiation in the region closest to the cellphone antenna when using the mobile phone.

HDMI out in Samsung Galaxy S II via MHL (microUSB port)

Android-powered Samsung Galaxy S II is the first smartphone to boast an MHL port (MHL = Mobile High-Definition Link) that can be used for dual-purpose USB or HDMI out (video). MHL lets you output HD video using HDMI. You’ll need a special cable of course, a special 5-wire micro-USB to HDMI cable lets you send video and audio to existing HDMI-equipped displays. Unfortunately, today’s TV won't charge via MHL during playback unless you insert a phone charger adapter between the Samsung Galaxy S II phone and TV or wait for MHL-enabled TVs to begin shipping later this year. The MHL standard was first announced in 2008 as the Mobile High-Definition video Link "standard" for mobile devices promoted by a consortium that includes Nokia, Samsung, Sony, Toshiba, and Silicon Image.
